pH Disclaimer:
Our products are designed for optimal pH balance, and in many cases, customers may not need to adjust the pH at all. However, this can depend on the initial water quality. If pH adjustment is necessary, we strongly recommend using potassium carbonate instead of potassium hydroxide for a pH up.
Here’s why potassium carbonate is preferable:
• Stability: It offers greater stability in nutrient solutions, crucial for calcium-rich formulas like ours.
• Avoids Calcium Precipitation: Potassium hydroxide can cause calcium to fall out of solution, which isn’t harmful but can result in sediment. Potassium carbonate doesn’t have this issue.
• Long-Term Efficacy: It maintains the balance necessary for optimal plant growth, ensuring long-term effectiveness of the nutrient solution.
Part B - Bloom & Micro
BLOOM & MICRO concentrate must be used in conjunction with the complete TRiCHFECTA+® range (Parts A/C/+) to provide a stand-alone Bioponic™ system, one that requires NO additives.

Our cutting-edge Bioponic™ technology sets our BLOOM & MICRO concentrates apart. Developed by Dr. Luther Thomas, Ph.D. Our proprietary blend of Bioponic™ organic amino acids, considered the building blocks of life, and our part B nutrient solution, offers numerous benefits in hydroponics.
The specific sequence and arrangement of amino acids within proteins determine their unique properties and functions. Proteins play vital roles in various biological processes, including enzyme catalysis, structural support, transport of molecules, immune response, cell signalling, and many others.
Proteins are composed of long chains of amino acids that are linked together by peptide bonds. There are 20 different types of amino acids commonly found in proteins, each with unique chemical structures and properties. These amino acids can be arranged in various sequences to form a vast array of proteins with diverse functions.
The term "building blocks" refers to the individual components that can be assembled or linked together to create larger structures or molecules. In the context of amino acids, they serve as the building blocks for protein synthesis. During protein synthesis, the genetic information encoded in DNA is transcribed into messenger RNA (mRNA), which serves as a template for protein production. Of course, such proteins require a complement of specific enzymes to become optimally bioavailable and our PART B BLOOM & MICRO concentrates supply them in abundance.
Enzymes play a crucial role in hydroponics by facilitating various biochemical reactions that are essential for plant growth and development. Here are some key functions of enzymes in hydroponics:
• Nutrient Breakdown and Availability: Enzymes are involved in breaking down complex organic compounds, such as proteins and carbohydrates into simpler forms that can be readily absorbed and utilized by plants. In hydroponics, enzymes assist in the decomposition of organic matter, such as root exudates or decaying plant material, releasing nutrients in a form that can be easily taken up by the plants' roots. This enzymatic breakdown enhances nutrient availability and ensures efficient nutrient uptake in hydroponic systems.
• Nutrient Conversion and Transformation: Enzymes catalyse the conversion and transformation of nutrient salts. For example, enzymes are responsible for converting nitrogen from ammonium into nitrate that plants prefer for growth. Enzymatic processes also play a role in the conversion of phosphorus, potassium, and other essential nutrients into plant-accessible forms. By facilitating these conversions, enzymes help optimise nutrient utilisation and prevent nutrient deficiencies in hydroponic crops.
• Root Zone Health and Nutrient Cycling: Enzymes contribute to the maintenance of a healthy root zone in hydroponics. They help break down and recycle dead root material, releasing valuable nutrients back into the nutrient solution. Enzymes also promote the decomposition of organic matter, preventing the accumulation of organic residues that could lead to root diseases or nutrient imbalances. By aiding in nutrient cycling and root zone health, enzymes support overall plant vigour and optimize nutrient uptake efficiency.
• Defence against Pathogens: Enzymes play a role in a plant's defence against pathogens in hydroponic systems. Some enzymes are involved in the synthesis of antimicrobial compounds, such as phytoalexins, which help plants fend off harmful microorganisms. Additionally, certain enzymes can break down the cell walls of pathogens, weakening their structure and inhibiting their growth. By contributing to plant defence systems, enzymes help protect hydroponic crops from diseases and maintain their health and productivity.
• Respiration and Energy Production: Enzymes are crucial for the process of respiration in plants, which involves the breakdown of sugars and the release of energy. Enzymes facilitate the metabolic reactions that convert carbohydrates into usable energy forms, such as adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This energy is essential for various cellular processes, including nutrient uptake, growth, and biosynthesis. Enzymatic activity ensures efficient energy production and utilization, supporting the overall metabolic functions of hydroponic plants.
In addition to our unique amino acid blend, our PART B BLOOM & MICRO concentrate also features a comprehensive trace element profile, essential micronutrients that are vital for plant health and optimal growth. These trace elements include:
• Iron (Fe): Iron is essential for chlorophyll synthesis, which is critical for photosynthesis and the production of energy in plants. It also plays a role in enzyme activation and is necessary for the formation of new cells and chloroplasts.
• Manganese (Mn): Manganese is involved in several enzyme systems, including those responsible for photosynthesis and nitrogen metabolism. It aids in chlorophyll production, carbohydrate metabolism, and the synthesis of fatty acids.
• Zinc (Zn): Zinc is required for the synthesis of growth hormones and is involved in enzymatic activity. It plays a crucial role in the formation of chlorophyll, protein synthesis, and the regulation of auxins that influence plant growth and development.
• Copper (Cu): Copper is essential for the formation of lignin, a compound that strengthens cell walls and supports plant structures. It is involved in various enzyme systems and also plays a role in photosynthesis, respiration, and the metabolism of carbohydrates and proteins.
• Boron (B): Boron is necessary for cell wall formation and stability. It influences calcium uptake and transport within the plant and is involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates. Boron also plays a role in pollen formation and seed production.
• Molybdenum (Mo): Molybdenum is required for nitrogen metabolism in plants. It aids in the conversion of nitrate into amino acids. Molybdenum is also involved in enzyme systems that facilitate the utilisation of iron. • Nickel (Ni): Nickel is a cofactor for the enzyme urease, which is involved in nitrogen metabolism and the conversion of urea into usable forms of nitrogen in plants.
• Chlorine (Cl): Chlorine is involved in photosynthesis and is required for the proper functioning of stomata, which are tiny openings on plant leaves that regulate gas exchange. It plays a role in the transport of water and nutrients within the plant.
