Lumatek 600 Watt/400v Controllable/Linkable Digital Ballast
The 400 volt Lumatek Ballast run with the Lumatek 400 volt lamp gives a substantial increase in crop growth by providing a better colour spectrum emitted from the lamp, providing a much plant friendlier spectral energy.
The ballast can sense which type of HPS lamp is being driven and will adjust accordingly. If a standard format HPS lamp is used the performance will be the same as using a standard Lumatek ballast. Using the 400 volt lamp and ballast together will see the higher performance.
400 Volt. Why?
A 400 volt Lumatek Ballast used with a purpose built 400 volt lamp gives a substantial increase in efficiency by providing a greater PAR spectrum output.
The Lumatek 400V ballast is an ultra-high frequency ballast operating at 120KHz (120,000 cycles per second) for 400V and 90KHz (90,000) for 240V lamps. (A conventional magnetic ballast operates at 50Hz, making much less light available to the plant). The increased efficiency means less power is lost from the power supply to the lamp.
